Established international and domestic patents support
Weiwei Wang assists on patent prosecution, including preparing and prosecuting domestic and international applications, particularly in the areas of biotechnology and chemistry. As a graduate student researcher in organic chemistry, she developed methodology for the synthesis of biologically active small molecules containing indane, chromane or tetralin moieties, which target cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
Prior to joining Quarles, Weiwei worked as a research chemist and project leader within discovery chemistry for a leading agricultural chemical and seed company, developing active ingredients of fungicides targeting a broad spectrum of pathogens. She has hands-on experience with both lead generation and lead optimization research.
