Wide-ranging health care regulatory counsel

Shaylynn Veeder advises health care providers and suppliers on a variety of regulatory issues arising under Medicare, Medicaid and fraud and abuse laws, including Anti-Kickback, Physician Self-Referral and false claims laws. She provides guidance on health information privacy matters, licensing issues and health care regulatory due diligence in relation to transaction matters. Shaylynn also regularly advises clients on FDA regulatory issues and corporate compliance concerns. Her experience also includes:

  • Counseling clients regarding the SUPPORT Act's all-payor federal anti-kickback law, the Eliminating Kickbacks in Recovery Act of 2018 (EKRA).
  • Advising clients regarding FDA Form 483 Feasibility Study Program and radiation emitting products.
  • Reviewing and advising on change of ownership requirements for provider and supplier contracts.
  • Managing client hospice and home health contracts with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

  • Advises medical device manufacturers, physician practices, pharmacies and skilled nursing facilities in fraud and abuse counseling.
  • Counsels medical device manufacturers and health care practices in corporate compliance program development, implementation and guidance.
  • Provides guidance regarding statutes and regulations related to the corporate practice of medicine, licensure, telehealth and compounding matters.
  • Assists with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and billing issues.
