Prior to joining Quarles, Roberto served as legal counsel for a biotechnology company where, among other responsibilities, he provided legal guidance to leadership regarding issues in day-to-day business operations, and prepared and prosecuted patent applications directed to biosensor and digital microfluidic technologies. Roberto’s high-level experience working in-house enables him to provide informed counsel to his clients that is guided by an understanding of what they need to achieve their goals.

- Provides patent, trademark and copyright counseling and generating opinions regarding noninfringement and freedom-to-operate. Roberto also counsels clients on IP strategy, including portfolio management, development and assessment of third-party rights.
