His experience also includes advising individuals, financial institutions, family offices and trust companies regarding U.S. federal tax compliance.
Experience in Action
- Drafts trust and estate documents, including wills, trusts, charitable lead trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, qualified domestic trusts, irrevocable insurance trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts and grantor retained annuity trusts.
- Advises on the establishment and taxation of domestic and foreign trusts.
- Assists individuals, financial institutions and trust companies regarding federal tax compliance, including FATCA and the Internal Revenue Service Voluntary Disclosure Practice and the Streamlined Filing Procedures.
- Assists with the relinquishment of U.S. citizenship (expatriation) and the relinquishment of lawful permanent resident (green card) status.
- Consults on U.S. federal income, gift and estate tax returns, assists clients with penalty abatement and represents clients in tax controversies before the Internal Revenue Service.
