Insightful guidance on energy law and energy policy
Alex Bai advises on energy regulatory law and energy policy matters related to the natural gas, electricity and renewable energy sectors. He is well versed in the Inflation Reduction Act and matters related to regional transmission organizations (RTO) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Alex also has experience in carbon markets and drafting transactional documents to facilitate carbon project finance, as well as:
- Retail electric and gas supplier compliance
- Traditional and performance-based rate cases
- Illinois Commerce Commission rulemaking
Before joining Quarles, Alex worked at a climate change investment and advisory firm. He also previously was a staff attorney at the Illinois Commerce Commission and a legal and policy advisor to the Illinois Commerce Commission's chair.
