Media Mention

Milwaukee – The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that partner Kevin Long and senior associates Anita Boor and Matt Pietruczak received the annual “Leaders in the Law/Up and Coming Lawyers” awards from the Wisconsin Law Journal. This year’s honorees were recognized today during a virtual event.

Long was recognized as a 2021 “Leader in the Law” based on several factors, led by his outstanding reputation as a commercial litigator and his commitment to excellent client service. Also setting him apart is his leadership within the firm – both as co-office managing partner of the Milwaukee office and as a mentor to younger attorneys throughout the firm – and his involvement in the Milwaukee community.

Boor and Pietruczak each received the “Up and Coming Lawyers” award, given to people who “have displayed excellence during their first eight years in the field.”

Boor has established herself as someone who is highly skilled at litigating complex intellectual property and technology cases, with a poised and deliberate approach that earns the confidence of her clients. In addition, she gives back to her community through her regular pro bono work on civil rights matters.

Within the Business Law Group, Pietruczak has consistently demonstrated his ability to go beyond providing legal counsel, serving as a true business partner to his clients. He has taken on the role of client relationship lead for several clients and become the firm’s go-to attorney for clients seeking insight on venture capital investment opportunities and the representation of start-ups and emerging growth companies.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to see Kevin, Anita and Matt get this well-deserved recognition for their contributions to the legal profession,” said Mike Aldana, firm managing partner. “Kevin has demonstrated throughout his career an unrelenting commitment to the success of his clients and our firm, as well as the betterment of his colleagues and community. He sets a great example for younger attorneys such as Anita and Matt, who already are showing their great potential as leaders.”
