Tim Brinkley Rejoins Quarles Chicago Office as Partner in Franchise and Business Law Practice Groups

News Release

Chicago — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Tim Brinkley has rejoined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the Franchise & Distribution and Business Law Practice Groups. Prior to rejoining Quarles, Brinkley worked in-house at three multinational fast food restaurant franchises and as a commercial real estate lawyer at a national firm.

Brinkley works on transactional and regulatory matters for franchise companies. He provides day-to-day legal counsel to franchise companies and initial advice to companies that want to franchise their business concept. Brinkley drafts and updates franchise disclosure documents and handles other aspects of federal and state regulatory compliance with respect to franchising. Additionally, he negotiates and prepares complex franchise transactional documents, assists with complex sales, mergers and acquisitions, provides legal strategies to increase development and renovation of franchise outlets and advises on real estate matters.

“Tim’s deep experience working as in-house counsel for franchise companies brings our team a wealth of insight into what clients expect out of law firms,” said Andy Beilfuss, Franchise & Distribution national chair. “Tim’s perspectives will be invaluable in enhancing our relationship with our clients, and we look forward to working with him again.”

Brinkley was listed to Best Lawyers in America® in 2020 in the category of Franchise Law. He holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, a Master of Arts from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts from Western Illinois University.

"I am pleased to rejoin Quarles and collaborate with former and new colleagues across the firm," said Brinkley. "The firm’s franchise team is tremendously strong and well respected across the country, and I am eager to utilize my insight to provide excellent client service.”
