Quarles & Brady attorney Samantha Skenandore, a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Indian Law & Policy groups, was featured in the November/December 2023 issue of BRAVA Magazine. In the article, Skenandore, who is an enrolled member of the Ho-Chunk Nation, discusses her journey from being a tribal archivist to becoming an attorney specializing in tribal matters.

Skenandore had never thought about going to law school, but after she helped the tribe with a complicated situation involving a corporation entering Wisconsin and attempting to acquire Ho-Chunk ancestral lands for their natural resource extraction operations, it piqued her interest in law.
