Quarles Launches “Nothing but Substance” Blog Focused on Regulatory Compliance in Behavioral Health and Addiction Care

News Release

The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that its Health & Life Sciences Practice Group has launched “Nothing but Substance: Legal Insights for Behavioral Health and Addiction Treatment Providers,” a blog that reports on news and legal issues affecting leaders and providers in the behavioral health and addiction treatment industry.

The blog will be led by Kirti Reddy, Quarles partner and former assistant United States attorney for the Southern District of New York. During her time as a federal prosecutor, Reddy was involved in the investigation and prosecution of substance use treatment providers who were engaged in fraud, false claims and kickbacks. She currently defends clients facing government investigations, enforcement actions or other litigation threats.

“Nothing but Substance: Legal Insights for Behavioral Health and Addiction Treatment Providers” will help providers navigate a labyrinth of issues ranging from challenging patients to complex local and federal regulations.

“Through my experiences serving the public as well as providing defense strategies to clients, I have worked with treatment providers, clinic owners, various government agencies, housing providers and industry experts, and the simple truth is that providing good quality addiction treatment is incredibly complex,” said Reddy. “This blog is intended to provide valuable insights to those working in this space on changes to the law, enforcement actions and other industry news.”
