Quarles Expands St. Louis Office with Addition of Business Law Partner Mary Kate Hogan

News Release

The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Mary Kate Hogan has joined the firm’s St. Louis office as a partner in the Business Law Practice Group. Prior to joining Quarles, Hogan served as in-house general counsel for a national print, marketing and logistics provider and a credit card processing company.

Hogan guides her clients on a variety of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters, commercial contracts and internal restructurings. She counsels family businesses, private equity funds and publicly held companies.

“Mary Kate brings a wealth of experience in the M&A and private equity field and has a track record of successfully closing complex deals for clients,” said Will Schultz, Business Law Practice Group national chair. “Acquiring an experienced M&A deal attorney in our St. Louis market was a strategic goal because we knew it would greatly benefit our clients. Mary Kate will be a great fit and we look forward to working with her.”

Hogan holds a Juris Doctor from New York University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California. She is a member of the board of director for Books for Newborns and is active with the United Way of Greater St. Louis, serving as the women’s segment chair of the de Tocqueville Society Cabinet and a member of the women’s leadership segment mentorship program. Hogan was named a “Rising Star” in the 2020 Missouri In-House Counsel Awards.

“I wanted to return to a law firm environment, and I was impressed with Quarles’ collaborative style and dedication to providing excellent client service,” said Hogan. “I’m excited that the firm has invested in St. Louis, and I look forward to working with my new colleagues in contributing to the continued growth of the St. Louis office and Business Law practice.”
