Quarles & Brady Named Best BigLaw Firm for Female Attorneys by Law360
MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP has been named the "Best BigLaw Firm For Female Attorneys" by Law360, underscoring its ongoing commitment to gender equality in the legal profession and workplace.
In addition to its top ranking, Quarles & Brady is the only firm on the list with a female chairperson, Kimberly Leach Johnson. The firm also has three female office managing partners across its 10 locations in the U.S.: Katie Perhach in Milwaukee; Nicole Stanton in Phoenix; and Ave Bie in Madison. Several other women lead national practice groups and industry teams at the firm. As of December 31, 2015, 38% of the firm's 483 attorneys are women; 31% of partners are women, while 49% of non-partners are women; 21% of equity partners and 43% of the non-equity partners are women.

The firms listed among the "Best BigLaw Firms For Female Attorneys" were also named in a previous list, "The 100 Best Law Firms For Female Attorneys." The recognized firms were ranked based on the four factors: the percentage of partners, both equity and nonequity, who are women; the percentage of nonpartners who are women; the split between the firm's female partner percentage and female nonpartner percentage; and the number of female attorneys at the firm. According to Law360's 2016 Glass Ceiling report, 34 percent of all attorneys and 22 percent of partners at U.S. law firms are women.
Additionally, the firm has received awards from Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers Best Law Firms for Women, Vault Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms, and Women in Law Empowerment Forum.
