Quarles & Brady Madison Office Receives Pro Bono Award
MADISON, Wis. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that its Madison office received a pro bono award from the Dane County Bar Association. Representatives from the firm accepted the award at the Law Day Pro Bono Breakfast.
The office was honored for providing pro bono help to survivors of domestic violence in two different ways. First, the firm represents people seeking domestic violence and harassment injunctions. Second, the firm established and staffs a legal clinic for clients of Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS). Emily M. Feinstein, a partner in the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group, and Leah M. McNeely, an attorney in the firm's Health Law Practice Group, set up and run these programs.
"While our pro bono work is not done to receive accolades, recognition such as this from the Dane County Bar Association helps get the word out in the legal community to solicit more volunteer attorneys, and enables us to help more domestic abuse survivors," said Ave Bie, Quarles & Brady Madison office managing partner. "It is for this reason we are very appreciative of this award."
