Quarles & Brady Joins Alliance for Asian American Justice
Milwaukee — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced its participation in the Alliance for Asian American Justice, a coalition providing legal support and advocacy to victims of anti-Asian hate crimes and harassment.
The Alliance for Asian American Justice is a nationwide coalition of more than 45 law firms and 17 general counsel from Fortune 1000 companies committed to providing “culturally responsive” legal support in the wake of a surge in reported hate crimes against Asian Americans.
"The recent increase in reported hate crimes against Asian Americans is appalling and we are proud to support the coalition, which will not only aid and provide relief for hate crime victims but hopefully also help prevent and deter future incidents," said Leonardo Loo, Quarles & Brady’s Phoenix office managing partner and lead for the firm’s involvement in the alliance. “It’s times like this when our commitment to pro bono service becomes especially important.”
Services the Alliance for Asian American Justice will offer include filing lawsuits in pursuit of compensatory and other civil remedies and coordinating with law enforcement to ensure hate crime perpetrators are held accountable.
