Quarles & Brady Announces New Partners
Milwaukee — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that the following attorneys have been named partners, effective October 1, 2019:
Stacy A. Alexejun is an experienced litigator with a focus on product liability defense litigation and intellectual property litigation. She has experience defending against product liability claims involving various products, including forklifts, trailers, conveyors, motorcycles, cranes, and lead paint. Alexejun also represents clients in many aspects of intellectual property enforcement and litigation, with an emphasis in trademark, trade secret, copyright, and unfair competition matters. She received her Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Marquette University Law School.
Susan I. Matejcak is a member of the Real Estate practice group and focuses her practice on complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing transactions, real estate development, and construction documentation. She received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Northern Illinois University and her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
John R. Remington practices in the firm's Commercial Litigation Group. His practice focuses on representing employers and employees in contested restraining order and injunction cases involving covenants not to compete and trade secret claims. Remington also maintains an active practice in financial institutions litigation. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin, with honors, and his Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.
James M. Schleicher, Ph.D is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property practice group. He is a patent practitioner who has successfully guided numerous U.S. patent applications to allowance and has advised on patent validity, infringement, freedom-to-operate, invention patentability, and technology landscape. He received his Bachelor of Science, with honors, from Michigan State University, his Master of Science and Ph.D from Yale University, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School.
