Quarles & Brady announces new COO David Fleisher, formerly of Bryan Cave
Milwaukee — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP is pleased to announce that David Fleisher has joined the firm as its Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective October 1st.
In this position, Fleisher will manage the operational and administrative functions of the Firm, and work closely with Firm Chair Kimberly Leach Johnson and Firm Managing Partner Michael Aldana in developing and implementing process improvements, business and strategic goals, and growth initiatives.
Fleisher comes to Quarles & Brady from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner where he was COO for 11 years. While the COO of Bryan Cave, Fleisher played a key role in executing its merger with Berwin Leighton Paisner in 2018, bringing that firm to more than 1,400 lawyers globally. Fleisher’s experience also includes over 12 years in senior-officer positions with two publically-traded companies where he served in the roles of vice president, general counsel and chief financial officer. This in-house experience positions him well to assist Quarles & Brady in meeting client needs.
“Dave’s deep experience in finance, mergers, capital projects, firm and business leadership, as well as his experience as a client and a general counsel make him a great addition to our leadership team,” said Michael Aldana, Quarles & Brady managing partner. “He has the knowledge and experience to support our goals as we chart a path of continuous improvement and intentional growth into 2025 and beyond.”
Fleisher succeeds retiring Executive Director John Peterburs, who had served the firm since 1991 and guided the firm’s expansion into Chicago, Tampa, Washington, D.C. and Indianapolis as well as Quarles & Brady’s merger with Streich Lang PC in Phoenix.
Fleisher holds a Juris Doctor received magna cum laude from the University of Michigan and a bachelor of science in accounting with distinction from Indiana University. He is also a certified public accountant.
