Quarles Announces 2024 Partner Class
October 2, 2024 (Milwaukee) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced today that it has elected 18 new partners.

The new partners are:
John Aramanda, a Chicago-based member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group who represents corporate clients in state and federal courts across the country on a variety of matters affecting businesses, including contract disputes, business torts, real estate and construction litigation, and insurance coverage disputes. He also has significant experience representing franchisors, including automotive OEMs, in dealership and related franchise disputes. Aramanda earned a B.A. from Arizona State University and J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
Cameron Arthur, a member of the Real Estate Practice Group in the Phoenix office who handles all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including land banking, commercial leasing, and purchase, sale and development of raw land, master planned communities and complex commercial assets. He counsels clients through all phases of these transactions and manages a high-volume land banking team within the firm. Cameron received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his J.D. from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
Alexis Barkis, a Labor & Employment attorney in the firm’s Naples, Fla., office who advises employers and human resource professionals on all aspects of labor and employment law and litigation. She prepares and negotiates employment contracts and agreements, creates and reviews internal policies and procedures, and provides training on topics of interest to management and employees on a host of labor and employment law topics. Barkis has a B.S. from Florida Gulf Coast University and a J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law.
Lauren Bolcar, a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group based in Washington, D.C., who handles an array of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation and counseling matters. She has represented clients in a wide variety of industries in federal courts throughout the country as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and in private arbitration. Bolcar received a B.S. from Bucknell University and J.D. from Seton Hall Law School.
Zachary Eastburn, a Madison, Wis.-based member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group who represents large businesses and corporations that supply products to customers through franchises, dealerships and distribution channels. He regularly counsels clients on issues that affect their products getting to market, while helping them find the most effective and efficient channels in which to market. Eastburn earned his B.A. from Taylor University and J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School.
Sarah Erdmann, a Milwaukee-based Health & Life Sciences attorney who guides clients on a variety of data privacy and security compliance matters for health and non-health clients. She helps clients create and update internal privacy and security compliance programs, prepare and revise website privacy policies and terms and conditions, and aids in client response to security incidents and data breaches. Erdmann has a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and J.D. from Marquette University Law School.
Melanie Kalmanson, a Litigation & Dispute Resolution attorney in the Tampa office who focuses on commercial litigation, representing businesses and individuals in all phases of litigation in state and federal court. Her practice largely focuses on real estate and construction litigation, and she is the vice chair of Quarles’ Real Estate and Construction Litigation subgroup. Kalmanson holds a B.S. from Florida State University and J.D. from Florida State University College of Law.
Christopher “Chal” Little, a member of the Business Law Practice Group in Milwaukee who represents a variety of business entities and their owners, including private equity funds and their portfolio companies as well as other privately held businesses and individuals. He primarily advises clients on mergers and acquisitions; private equity and growth equity investments; choice of entity, entity formation and governance matters; and general corporate matters. Little has a B.A. from Concordia University Wisconsin and J.D. from Marquette University Law School.
Bryce Loken, a Madison-based member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group who handles an array of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation and counseling matters. His clients cover a variety of industries, including wireless communication, consumer electronics and technology, computer software, consumer and household goods, commercial manufacturing, clothing and apparel, and beverages and nutritional supplements. Loken received a B.B.A. from University of Wisconsin-Madison and J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School.
Damon McCormick, a Real Estate attorney in Milwaukee who provides solution-oriented advice on a wide range of real estate matters, including complex commercial leases, acquisitions and dispositions, sale-leaseback transactions, M&A transactions, renewable energy projects and partnership and joint venture agreements. He advises on everything from negotiating terms and drafting transaction documents to driving a smooth and successful closing process. McCormick has a B.S. from Valparaiso University and J.D. from University of Louisville.
Joe Poehlmann, a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group in Milwaukee, represents clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States in complex commercial litigation. He primarily litigates contract disputes, professional liability claims, class actions and insurance coverage disputes. Poehlmann is the co-chair of the firm’s Professional Liability team. He received his B.S. from the University of Missouri and J.D. from Marquette University Law School.
Tory Polin, a Labor & Employment attorney in San Diego, represents public and private employers across a broad range of sectors, including defense, biotech, communications, retail and education. She is a seasoned litigator with extensive courtroom and first-chair jury trial experience. Her practice covers all aspects of labor and employment litigation, advice and counseling, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour matters. Polin earned a B.A. from UCLA and J.D. from University of San Diego School of Law.
Daniel Roberts, a Phoenix-based Litigation & Dispute Resolution attorney who represents clients in a wide variety of commercial dispute and litigation matters, including at the trial and appellate levels of litigation related to health care, complex contract and commercial torts, financial services, real estate and professional liability. He holds a B.S. and M.B.A. from University of Phoenix and a J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law.
Tyler Roth, a member of the Labor & Employment Practice Group in Milwaukee who advises employers on a broad range of labor and employment issues. As an experienced defense counsel, he has handled all aspects of litigation, including discovery management, taking and defending depositions, mediation and settlement negotiations, briefing and arguing dispositive motions, and trial. Roth has a B.A. from University of Wisconsin – Madison and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
Aaron Schu, a Labor & Employment attorney in San Diego who represents a broad range of public and private employers in all facets of labor and employment law. He has significant experience resolving employee mobility and intellectual property matters on behalf of employers, as well as defending employers in whistleblowing, wrongful termination, wage and hour, discrimination and harassment matters throughout California. Schu received a B.A. from University of Southern California and J.D. from University of San Diego School of Law.
Christina Snider, a San Diego-based Labor & Employment attorney who defends her clients in employment and business lawsuits ranging from wage and hour class actions to contract disputes. Snider also counsels on employment law compliance. Her clients have included Fortune 50 corporations and local businesses in various industries and sectors, as well as public entities.
Bailey Walden, a Milwaukee based member of the Health & Life Sciences Practice Group who handles health care transactions and regulatory and compliance matters. Her experience includes all aspects of health care transactions and advising on matters involving telemedicine regulations; health care practitioner and facility licensing, investigation and enforcement actions; federal and state fraud, waste and abuse; pharmaceutical laws and regulations; and Medicare conditions of participation. Walden earned a B.A. from University of Wisconsin – Madison and J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School.
Michele Washington, an Intellectual Property attorney in the Denver office who prepares and prosecutes patent applications and assists clients on strategic U.S. and international patent portfolio development. With a technical background in the life sciences, Washington assists clients with patent protection on technologies that include large molecule therapeutics, gene editing, drug delivery and immunology. Washington has a B.A. from Colorado College, a Ph.D. from Baylor College of Medicine and a J.D. from University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
