Quarles Adds Experienced Patent Attorney Michael Santonocito

Chicago – Michael Santonocito, a patent attorney with a decade of law firm experience, has joined the Quarles & Brady Chicago office as senior counsel in the Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Santonocito leverages his background in physics and his past experience as a patent examiner in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) optics group to guide clients on patent applications related to a variety of technologies, including nuclear, plasma and wave physics. He is particularly knowledgeable in the area of electro-optics, including image sensing, image projection and display, and photovoltaics.

He earned his J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law and bachelor’s in physics from Michigan State University.
