Paralegal Sybil Taylor Aytch Showcases Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion Through Roles in Legal Associations

Phoenix - Sybil Taylor Aytch, a paralegal in the Quarles & Brady Phoenix office, is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. Through two recent appointments, she’ll continue to help the legal industry strengthen its embrace of DEI.

Effective today, Aytch has been reappointed diversity, inclusion, and equity chair for the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA)'s Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Committee. She was also recently named as co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board for the International Practice Management Association (IPMA).

NFPA is an issues-driven, policy-oriented professional association comprised of more than 50 member associations and represents more than 9,000 individual members. NFPA's Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Committee's objective is to research, investigate and recommend policy concerning the feasibility of implementing DEI initiatives. The Committee is developing NFPA's Model Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Policy to be used as a resource for NFPA member associations, and to provide guidance and suggestions for implementation of their own DEI policies. Under Aytch's leadership, the Committee revised and updated NFPA's Policy Statement on Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity.

IMPA’s mission is to advocate for the effective use and management of paralegals and other practice support professionals, to promote and enhance the proficiency and professionalism of its members, and to provide practical resources and solutions to its membership, the legal industry, and the public. IPMA seeks to cultivate a greater sense of inclusion within its membership and leadership.

Aytch is a paralegal in the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditor's Rights Practice Group with experience in commercial bankruptcy and commercial litigation. She holds a double Bachelor of Arts in English and French from Smith College and a Master of Education from Northern Arizona University. She is a Registered Paralegal, an Adjunct Professor in the ABA-approved Paralegal Studies Program at Phoenix College, and a published author of two ethics textbooks for paralegals.
