Indianapolis office earns recognition for innovative office design

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Milliken, an innovative, global flooring manufacturer, selected the firm's Indianapolis office as runner up in its inaugural Project of the Year competition. Milliken’s Project of the Year celebrates designs that highlight Milliken floor covering solutions across all industries in North America.

“The design of our new Indianapolis office, which has now been recognized by a number of industry publications, has been a key to our success here in the Circle City,” said Linden Barber, Indianapolis office managing partner. “We worked closely with the design firm Chemistry in Place to achieve the look and feel we wanted. Milliken’s industry-leading floor covering is a significant part of that.”

The goal of the internal awards program is to celebrate the hard work of designers, dealers and Milliken associates in creating meaningful design through flooring. Milliken’s inaugural Project of the Year selection was based on the following criteria:

• Project was installed and/or photographed within the 2015 calendar year
• Project was selected by Milliken for either a project profile or case study
• Project celebrated the locality for the application
• Project created a significant, new brand experience for the client and its customers

“Quarles & Brady's Indianapolis office beautifully challenges the traditional legal office. Our award-winning Art Media collection is anything but conservative, and it lends the relevancy that design firm Chemistry in Place was seeking for a fresh environment that connects with the unique voice of modern Indianapolis, while also reflecting the high quality of services at Quarles & Brady,” said Stacy Walker, director of customer experience for the Milliken floor covering division. “The photography of the space, captured by Tricia Shay, shows how the flooring truly grounds, directs and connects the design of the entire office.”

The firm's Indianapolis office opened in May 2014. Quarles & Brady attorneys and staff officially took occupancy of their newly designed offices in downtown Indianapolis in November 2014.
