Legal Human Resources Leader Joining Quarles & Brady as New Chief People Officer
Chicago – The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced today that Ony Beverly, a leading human resources professional in the legal industry, is joining the firm as chief people officer. She begins today, based in the firm’s Chicago office.
Working closely with the firm’s leadership team, Beverly will play a critical role in helping Quarles & Brady achieve its strategic growth goals for both local offices and priority practice groups. In addition, she will help drive the firm’s efforts to deepen its longstanding commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Beverly is replacing Andy Hargitt, who is retiring May 21 after more than seven years leading the firm’s HR team.
“We’re grateful to Andy for everything he’s done to help drive the firm’s success during his tenure,” said Dave Fleisher, Quarles & Brady’s chief operating officer. “Ony’s experience and insight on how to build a diverse, dynamic and high performing team made her a natural fit to succeed Andy. We’re excited about her ability to help us deliver against our various growth initiatives over the next several years.”
Most recently, Beverly was chief human resources officer at Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP in Chicago and was named a “2021 Notable Leader in HR” by Crain’s Chicago Business. She earned her B.A. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and MHRM and MBA degrees from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
