Justin DeAngelis Appointed Chair of AIPLA’s Design Rights Committee

Justin DeAngelis, an Intellectual Property partner in the Quarles & Brady Chicago office, has been appointed chair of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Design Rights Committee. He previously was vice chair of the committee.

The Design Rights Committee monitors design patent, trade dress and copyright laws, rules, regulations and judicial decisions applicable to the protection of design rights. As chair, DeAngelis will lead the committee in participating in diplomatic treaty discussions, responding to U.S. and foreign patent office requests for comments and filing amicus briefs in important design-related court cases.

DeAngelis is the current chair of AIPLA's Prosecution & Practice Subcommittee of the Design Rights Committee and former chair of the International Policy & Practice Subcommittee of the Design Rights Committee.
