Jose Carrillo Named Returning Fellow of NELC Academy
PHOENIX, AZ — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Phoenix attorney Jose A. Carrillo has been chosen as a returning fellow of the 2015 National Employment Law Council (NELC) Academy Fellow.
The NELC is an organization primarily composed of minority outside and in-house attorneys, throughout the United States and abroad, who represent private and public sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment matters. NELC fellows have direct interaction with in-house labor and employment lawyers from major corporations and leading minority labor and employment defense lawyers from across the country. As an NELC Fellow, Carrillo will interact with NELC’s national network of experienced minority labor and employment attorneys and will be provided progressive skills training.
Carrillo is a member of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group. His practice focuses on representing employers before various government agencies, providing employment advice and counseling to employers on current trends with state and federal employment laws, workplace policies, conducting internal workplace investigations, and advising employers on corporate immigration matters, including preparing and filing petitions for work visas (such as H-1B, L-1A/L-1B, and TN) and permanent resident petitions (Green Cards) through employment.
Carrillo earned his law degree, cum laude, from Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and his bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from Arizona State University.
