Indianapolis Partner Lucy Dollens Elected to Board of Directors for Indiana/Kentucky Chapter of JDRF
Indianapolis – Lucy Dollens, a Litigation & Dispute Resolution partner in the Quarles & Brady Indianapolis office, has been elected to the board of directors for the Indiana/Kentucky chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Her term began July 1.
Founded in 1970, JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, with an exclusive focus on the worldwide effort to end T1D. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes both children and adults suddenly. It has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle and, at present, there is no cure. JDRF’s mission is to improving lives today and tomorrow by accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.
Dollens, a member of the firm’s governing executive committee and recruiting chair for the Indianapolis office, has long been active in her community. Her support of JDRF’s mission is inspired by her 14-year-old son, who was diagnosed at age 6, and his attitude that “nothing will hold him back, including T1D.”
