Quarles partner Grant Sovern, national chair of the firm’s Immigration practice, was featured on Above the Law’s “The Jabot” podcast to talk about the pro bono work he and more than 60 of the firm’s attorneys and business professionals have done to help Afghan refugees since August 2020.
The Jabot podcast focuses on the challenges women, people of color, LGBTQIA and other diverse populations face in the legal industry. In addition to sharing details of the Afghan refugee project, Sovern discusses how he got into immigration law, what made him want to become a lawyer and the challenges of working as an immigration lawyer.
