Cornell Boggs Honored by Fellowship Open for Business and Community Leadership
Cornell Boggs, of counsel and senior strategic advisor at Quarles & Brady LLP, was recognized last week as the 2024 Fellowship Open National Corporate Leadership Honoree in recognition of his long track record of professional and community leadership.
This was the 24th annual Fellowship Open, which raises funds to support Milwaukee area youth-serving organizations and initiatives. The event was co-founded and is chaired by John Daniels Jr., Quarles chair emeritus. Each year, the Fellowship Open salutes exemplary business leaders who have demonstrated a lifetime of exceptional community service.
In addition to his role at Quarles, Boggs is board chair of Thrivent, a Fortune 500 diversified financial services company. He has extensive experience as inhouse counsel, including serving as general counsel for Toys "R" Us Inc., Dow Corning Corporation and the Coors Brewing Company. He was named one of 2024’s “Most Influential Lawyers” by Savoy Magazine.
“Cornell’s lifelong record of professional mentorship and career advancement provides motivation and evidence of a bright future for our city, state and communities,” said Daniels. “With remarkable leaders like Cornell, we have been able to create and sustain a direct link to the future prosperity of Wisconsin. Wisdom and progress emanate from both classroom and workforce experiences. That knowledge is invaluable, permanent, and describes the essence of what collaborating with phenomenal individuals like Cornell Boggs produces for our program.”
