Construction and Real Estate Litigator Michael Charles Brown Joins Quarles Team in Phoenix

News Release

(Phoenix) – The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced today that Michael Charles Brown, an experienced trial court litigator who focuses on construction and real estate matters, has joined the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group as a partner, based in Phoenix.

Brown has represented clients on all sides and in all phases of public and private construction projects, including owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers. He advises clients on contract negotiation and issues that may arise during construction, helping them achieve timely and cost-effective completion of their projects. He also handles the full spectrum of construction- and real estate-related disputes that may wind up in litigation.

“We’re thrilled to add a litigator of Michael’s caliber to our team,” said Josh Maggard, national chair of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. “His deep experience in the construction and real estate industries will make him an especially valuable advisor to our Real Estate team and its clients. He is skilled at helping his clients anticipate and avoid issues that might lead to litigation but a relentless advocate when litigation is unavoidable.”

Brown has been named a Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” in Construction Law and Litigation-Real Estate each year from 2022 through 2024. He earned a B.S. and B.A. from Arizona State University and a J.D. from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to integrate my practice with the excellent Quarles litigation practice while simultaneously collaborating with the firm’s outstanding Real Estate team, both in Phoenix and nationally,” Brown said. “Quarles offers excellent value and a strong national platform, including comprehensive services in other practice areas, all of which will be of great benefit to my clients.”
