2015 Benchmark Litigation Names Quarles & Brady Partners as Litigation Stars
MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that partners Donald Schott, Anthony Tomaselli, and Eric Van Vugt have been named Wisconsin Litigation Stars by Benchmark Litigation.
The results came from a six-month peer review research period where interviews were conducted with the nation’s leading private practice lawyers and in-house counsel. Practice areas that were ranked in this year's edition include appellate, antitrust, bankruptcy, general commercial, insurance, intellectual property, international arbitration, products liability, securities, and white-collar crime.
Donald Schott was ranked in the practice areas of appellate, general commercial, and securities. Schott is a member of the firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on securities, business fraud, commercial disputes, health care, and energy-related disputes. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School and his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin.
Anthony Tomaselli was ranked in the practice area of intellectual property. Tomaselli is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on all types of intellectual property disputes, including patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, licensing, and restrictive covenant disputes. He received his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and his bachelor's degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin.
Eric Van Vugt was ranked in the practice areas of general commercial, insurance, and product liability. Van Vugt is a member of the firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on professional liability, insurance coverage, and class action litigation. He received his law degree from Marquette University Law School and his bachelor's degree from Calvin College.
Other highlights from the third annual Benchmark Litigation issue include the firm being named a Highly Recommended Firm under the state litigation category and partner Steve Berryman being named to Benchmark's "Future Star" list. Berryman is chair of the Milwaukee Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on unfair competition, trade secret, supply chain and product distribution litigation. He formerly clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and received his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law.
