Up In Smoke: Preparing for a New Marijuana Testing Regime in 2024

Evan Peña will be presenting at the 2023 CALPELRA Annual Training Conference on November 15. His presentation titled, "Up In Smoke: Preparing for a New Marijuana Testing Regime in 2024," will cover the statutory exemptions to AB 2188, its intersection with federal law and regulations that still require testing, and the practical challenges in testing employees who appear impaired, starting in 2024. He will also discuss about one's responsibility to accommodate an employee who uses marijuana off-the-clock to treat their disability.
