Data Privacy & Security Webinar Series | Regulatory Compliance for Health Care Mobile Apps: There's Not an App for That . . . But There Is a Webinar.
Program Overview: Are you in the process of developing a mobile health care application? Or, ahem, have one that is already developed but you want to know more about potential legal issues that could apply? Health care apps are developing into a critical part of our increasingly patient-driven care delivery system, but there are a surprising number of regulations that come into play. This webinar will discuss some of the key regulatory considerations that all health care app companies should be aware of, including HIPAA and health care privacy laws, intellectual property laws and protections, and FDA device requirements (yes, your app could be regulated as a device and you might not even know it). Join us as we provide context to these issues and help you consider the governing regulatory requirements that matter most to you and your business.
Time: 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. CT
Who Should Attend: This seminar is designed for in-house counsel, human resources professionals, and other interested corporate executives.
We will apply for 1.5 hours of continuing legal education credit in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Virginia, and Wisconsin. We will issue a Certificate of Attendance to Arizona attendees as the State Bar of Arizona does not approve or accredit CLE activities for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirement.
If you are member of another jurisdiction that does not honor CLE credit from AZ, FL, IL, IN, VA, or WI, we will be happy to provide the materials needed in order for you to apply for CLE credit. Please contact Donna Key, our CLE coordinator, at donna.key@quarles.com.
