CPRA: Getting Your Clause In
FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel
1100 N Central Ave.
Phoenix, AZ 85004
The Arizona Chapter of the Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA), in partnership with ARMA’s international office, is hosting a full-day seminar to introduce Arizona records managers, data processors, and Information Governance professionals to CPRA. Nationally-recognized data protection and privacy experts from around the country will assemble at the Found:Re Hotel in the Phoenix arts district on Thursday, September, 15 to dissect the provisions of CPRA that affect out-of-state entities, compare those to provisions to the privacy laws recently adopted in other states (Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, and counting…), and map out essential compliance preparations that businesses need to undertake between now and January 1.
Building off the prior discussion of the different scope of obligations for the different organizations identified in CPRA, this session will cover the contracting requirements for each type of entity. It will also address the overlap in CPRA’s contracting requirements and other state and international privacy-focused contracting requirements (e.g. GDPR’s Article 28 provisions).
