Business Law Training | Practical Advice on Bringing Foreign National Employees to Work in the U.S.
Program Overview:
Learn practical guidance from our experienced immigration attorneys on the processes involved when your company hires or transfers a foreign national worker into the United States. Using real world examples, the speakers will walk you through key processes from filing the visa petition with the appropriate agency through visa approval at the U.S. consulate to entering the United States and becoming settled as a temporary worker. Topics will include:
- What happens at the Consulate appointment and how to prepare
- What are the legal implications of the border entry and how to prepare
- What happens after the foreign national is here - I-9 and E-Verify compliance, Social Security applications, and driver's license applications

Who Should Attend:
This session is designed for in-house counsel, human resources professionals, and foreign national employees. Quarles & Brady reserves the right to limit or restrict attendance to the program.
We will apply for one hour of continuing legal education credit in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Virginia, and Wisconsin. We will issue a Certificate of Attendance to Arizona attendees as the State Bar of Arizona does not approve or accredit CLE activities for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirement.
If you are member of another jurisdiction that does not honor CLE credit from AZ, FL, IL, IN, VA, or WI, we will be happy to provide the materials needed in order for you to apply for CLE credit.
